In 2011 three enthusiasts of the Lizu language (Wang Xuecai, Wang Dehe, and myself) took the initiative to produce a DVD of folk dances of the Lizu people of Muli Tibetan Autonomous County in Sichuan Province in the People's Republic of China. Our initiative was supported and co-funded by the county government and the county's radio and television station. The recording took place on October 19, 2011, at the beautiful site of Lake Changhaizi in Muli Tibetan Autonomous County.
